Please note that the EEG labs currently have different presentation setups. It is important that you realize that for most experiments you will want to make a choice about which lab to use beforehand and stick to that lab. Otherwise you will have different presentation settings for different subjects!
- lab K2D-30 has a 3D monitor (22" size, resolution of 1680x1050 running at 120 Hz), and which is more suitable if a high refresh rate is more critical than a large field of view or high resolution (specifications here).
- lab K2D-34 has a 3D monitor AND an Ultra HD monitor (28" size, resolution of 3840x2160 running at 60Hz). The latter is meant for experiments that require a large field of view with high resolution, but for which a high refresh rate is less critical (specifications here). You should follow the instructions for switching between monitors in K2D-34 when switching between them.
Manuals and forms (everybody who measures EEG in one of the labs should read and adhere to these!):
- File:Quick reference guide.pdf (a quick reference guide when measuring EEG)
- File:EEG manual BioSemi Vu 2015.pdf (a more detailed reference guide, also important to use when learning EEG for the first time)
- Information and forms for running EEG experiments
Data analysis:
Equipment:
Unless otherwise noted, all labs have a BioSemi acquisition system. Our FPP IT department maintains the labs, including the BioSemi system. They maintain a page about the system (including information about how to send triggers and which caps we have):
- BioSemi system on ITMwiki
- How to scale monitors on ITMwiki
- An Excel file that will help you to compute visual angle for your configuration: File:VisualAngle.xlsx
If you want more information about EEG and/or the labs, you can contact one of the research assistants and/or one of the staff members:
