How to set up an experiment - Staff

  1. Create your experiment and make sure it will work on the machines in the lab
  2. Put it on the EMS system (ems.psy.vu.nl) including all information the research assistant (RA) needs to run it (Inclusion criteria, apparatus, etc.)
  3. Put all necessary experimental files in your Folder on the Cerberus server \\cerberus.psy.vu.nl\Labs\K2F71\Expt\YourName\ExperimentName\
  4. If there was no detailed description of the experiment added when uploaded to EMS, create it on the SONA system (vu.sona-systems.com) and provide access to the RA, so that he/she can upload timeslots.
  5. In the end of the RA’s working days, the computers and the Cerberus server get synchronized. Afterwards, you find all existing data of your experiment there in your folder.
  6. In case you also want to have access to your data from outside the VU, tell the RA to upload the experimental files to EMS.
